So you have the date secured, the venue booked, your guest numbers sorted (eek… well, more or less!!) and now you are starting to think about the finer details and how you can make it a day that your guests will remember…
Your dream is for your Wedding Cake to be the edible showstopping centrepiece.. and for this, we are here to help you.
Whether you choose to go for a five tier grand couture Wedding Cake, a rustic buttercream two tier beauty or, a stylish display of individual Cupcake treats – we are here to help guide you through the booking process from Consultation to secured delivery and set up at your venue.
First things first…
The most important detail we need to establish is availability. I would strongly advise booking at least 6 months prior to your date – however, with that in mind, we are already taking bookings two years in advance so the sooner you are in a position to tell us your date, the better…to avoid disappointment of course!
Once availability has been established I would like to find out a little bit more about the style of Wedding Cake you have in mind; at this point, I will be asking you (usually via email or message) the following two crucial questions:
- How many guests would you like your cake to feed?
- Do you have a design or style in mind for your cake?
Your answers to these questions will enable me to work out a provisional quote for you based on your broad requirements.
Design is thinking made visual…
Design is crucial. Our aim is for your Wedding Cake to reflect your style, your personality, your dreams… so for this to be achieved, we need to know what you are thinking!
Our Wedding Cake Design Consultation is our opportunity to meet for a coffee and discuss your cake dreams and expectations! This meeting will either be held at your venue or at a mutually convenient location. It is a good idea to bring with you any mood board / fabric cuttings or colour swatches that you have put together or gathered to ensure shades and colour schemes are matched accurately.

If you would like to sample our sponge flavours at your Consultation then this is the ideal opportunity! For a small charge you are welcome to select any 4 flavours from our diverse Flavour Menu.
Seasonal flavours are often most popular however, flavour is something so personal to you as a couple therefore, it is important that you select for your pallet. I am often asked which flavour I would recommend? Of course, I am biased because I would probably opt for a 10 tier cake catering all the flavours from our menu!
On a serious note, I personally love the freshness of our Orange, Passionfruit and Lemon flavours. Becoming increasingly popular is the rich decadence of our Indulgent Chocolate and Black Forest (black forest, no longer a staple flavour of the 70’s!) Black Forest has been catapulted into the 2020’s with rich chocolate sponge layered with cherry preserve and vanilla buttercream… heaven! Our Flavour Menu is not exhaustive either, so if you would like to suggest a flavour for your cake, please get in touch!
Our cake samples will be provided to you in a little box to take away and taste at your own leisure.

Whilst you are deciding on flavour, I will fully draft all the details we discussed at our meeting and if required, I will also sketch the design for your cake. I will forward this all to you via email for your review.
